Painted Dials: When we restore dials, we try only to replace what has been lost. Generally a re-touching
of the numerals and the makers name in the centre of the dial, with Indian ink, is all that is required to bring a tired
dial back to life.

The dial should reflect the age of the clock and yet still look great. Therefore, we aim to restore the dial to look like it
has been lovingly cared for. Under no circumstances do we want to make the dial look brand new, and naturally we only use
traditional methods and materials in our repairs and restoration.
Very badly damaged dials are sent off to a specialist working out of the Wirral, and can take many months to be completed,
as it is important not to rush this expert process.

Brass Dials: These are generally cleaned and re-silvered ( if necessary ). The numerals can be repaired
( in the case of engraved numerals filled with black wax ) or re-touched using quality Indian inks.
